Stephanie Mateo was born in Santa Ana raised in Anaheim, California, and proudly represents her Guatemalan roots as a first-generation American. From a young age, she dreamed of a life in the spotlight. At just 12 years old, she auditioned to become an actress—but when her mom said, “I don’t have PTO to take you to auditions,” her dream was put on pause.

At 18, she set her sights on becoming a radio personality, only to hear her dad say, “Working midnight to 4:00 a.m. isn’t for a lady.” Once again, her voice was put on hold.

But dreams have a funny way of circling back—and now, Stephanie is unapologetically chasing hers. As a rising comedian, she brings her bold humor and real-life stories to stages across California and Las Vegas, turning the mic back on and owning every second of it.
